I’ve been looking at duck butts instead of the news.
I’ve been wearing a confusing amount of jackets, each different every day.
I’ve been studying the angles of goose wings.
I printed etchings with friends, one old, one new.
I’ve been trying to start a Picture Book Book Club.
I’ve been eating birthday cake for all the Pisces in my life.
I’ve been taking care of a small piece of moss named “Pow.”
I’ve been admiring extra-large backpacks on extra-small preschoolers.
I’ve been inspecting tree branches for opposite branching as I walk by.
I’ve been practicing leaving messes in exchange for a few more minutes of painting.
I participated in a Mock Ezra Jack Keats Award workshop with my sister.

I‘ve been checking the garden for signs of life.
I’ve been hoarding library books.
I’ve been imagining fields far away.
So much love for all of this, and envious of an in-person picture book club!
This is so inspiring! I’m planning to order your pocketful of rocks book too. I’m glad you are looking at all the real nature around. I eat my breakfast with the squirrels, and lunch with the wild turkeys! I’d like to know more about the picture book club too!
